Ian Irwin is an artist based in Atlanta, GA. A former high school history teacher, Ian became a stay-at-home dad in 2013. While his kids were in school he began experimenting with painting, and what started out as a diversion soon became a passion. Ian alternates between abstracts and portraits. An avid music fan and guitarist, Ian often uses his favorite musicians as subjects for his portraits while his abstract paintings allow him to experiment with form, color, and texture. When he’s not painting Ian enjoys volunteering with the PTA, playing guitar, collecting records, and spending time with his wife, Joanna, and two kids.
